  1. In a large bowl, combine warm water and yeast, stirring to dissolve the yeast. Let it stand for 5 minutes.
  2. Stir in evaporated milk, molasses, 1/4 cup brown sugar, egg, oil, and salt.
  3. Stir in as much of the flour as you can. Turn the dough out onto a lightly floured surface.
  4. Knead in enough of the remaining flour to make a moderately soft dough that is smooth and elastic (3 to 5 minutes total).
  5. Shape the dough into a ball and place it in a lightly greased bowl, turning once to grease the surface. Cover and let it rise in a warm place until double in size (about 1 to 1-1/2 hours).
  6. Punch down the dough and turn it out onto a lightly floured surface. Cover and let it stand for 10 minutes.
  7. Lightly grease a 13x9x2-inch baking pan and set it aside.
  8. For the filling, in a small bowl, combine 1/4 cup brown sugar, granulated sugar, cinnamon, ginger, and cloves.
  9. Roll out the dough into a 12×8-inch rectangle. Spread the dough with softened butter and sprinkle it with the filling, leaving 1 inch unfilled along one of the long sides.
  10. Roll up the rectangle, starting from the filled long side, and pinch the dough to seal the seams.
  11. Cut the rolled dough into 12 slices and arrange them in the prepared pan.
  12. Cover and let the rolls rise in a warm place until nearly double in size (about 45 minutes).
  13. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and bake the rolls for 22 to 25 minutes or until they turn golden brown.
  14. Allow the rolls to cool in the pan on a wire rack for 5 minutes.
  15. Drizzle the rolls with the Spiced Glaze and, if desired, sprinkle them with sugared cranberries.
  16. Serve the Gingerbread Cinnamon Buns warm and enjoy!
